The Carson City Public Library Book Club now features “At Home: A Short History of Private Life” by Bill Bryson. In this living book, Bryson tells us a fascinating story of the modern home. It takes the reader on a tour of their own home, using each room to explore the vast history of household artifacts we take for granted. Bryson transforms mundane facts into the most surprising and entertaining exposition. The book club will discuss “At Home” at 6 p.m. May 3 at the Carson City Library.
The Crystal Community Library Book Club now features “These Are My Words: The Journal of Sarah Agnes Prine 1881-1901, Arizona Territories” by Nancy Turner. The book club will discuss this moving and gripping American saga inspired by the author’s family memoirs at 6:30 p.m. on May 16 at the Crystal Library.

The Carson City Public Library is pleased to host a Writers Group for all interested adults who wish to share their writings with others and provide feedback to fellow writers. Hosted by Kathy Kurtze, the group will meet the first Wednesday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m. at the library. Please join us.
