DODA: To mark the “World Environment Day” celebrations in Doda District, a series of events were organized by the various government offices and educational institutions in Doda under the supervision of DDC Doda Vikas Sharma, with enthusiasm and zeal.
During the day, planting campaigns, cleanliness campaigns, paintings, debating competitions were observed in educational institutions. In addition, as instructed by CEO J&K and DEO Doda, various activities were carried out, namely tree planting/kitchen gardening, in the lawns of the voting booths, seminars/debates and cleanliness campaign, etc. in various educational institutes under the close supervision of Dy DEO. Doda Akhter Hussain Qazi.
Keynote speakers during the day-long program educated attendees on the importance of a neat and clean environment and insisted on ensuring cleanliness in their adjoining areas, in addition to enlightening them on the challenges that cause damage to the environment which in turn is directly linked to overall human health.
