TWF provides steel mills for cricket ground development

TWF Structures, based in Grimsargh, has been selected to supply the steelworks of the Old Trafford Cricket Ground Redevelopment project.

The company supplied Bamber Bridge-based Eric Wright Construction, the main contractor for the redevelopment of the stadium which is home to the county cricket team and hosts various international matches.

The construction project includes the construction of a 1,000-seat stand, better view of the terrain from the Lancashire Cricket Club mcontinuation of the embers, and the addition of a heritage centre, a guest services center and a new retail store.

The Hilton Garden Inn, located in the stadium, will also be expanded including the arrangement of 100 additional rooms up to a total ability to 250.

This expansion will be allow the vslubricate host more major events.

TWF provides a range of specialist steel-based fabrication and installation services, including design and build, steel frame structures, secondary metal framelattice trusses, steel platforms, gantries, steel construction, mandal decking, concrete stairs, floor plank stairs, balconies and railings.

Work started in July 2022 with the completion of the steel part of the project imminently. VScompletion of the entire project planned for the 2023 cricket season, which includes an Ashes Test Match at Emirates Old Trafford.
