Of all the great walks the Jersey Shore has to offer, to me there is no better walk to take the kids on than Jenkinson’s Walk at Point Pleasant Beach. I’m talking about children of all ages!
I remembered this while I was there last Tuesday night doing a comedy at Jenkinson’s. I walked around the kiddie rides remembering when I took my twin sons, who are now 15, on the rides with their grandfather who is no longer with us.
I remembered each of them smiling as they boarded the train, which you could never see yourself doing until you had kids, then you can’t imagine not taking it.
Check out all these other great rides for kids.
They also have a large fish tank featuring “The Magical Mermaids” on Wednesdays.
If these are games they like, try the many arcades where they can rack up points for prizes or try their luck at Cranes, which I’ve never been good at.
When it comes to food on the ride, no child can refuse sweets and Jenkiinsons Ice and Candy has all the sweets ever made, as well as amazing ice cream.
When it comes to pizza, no trip to Point Pleasant would be complete without a slice of Joey Tomato’s.
There are so many great restaurants on the Point Pleasant Boardwalk that you can find whatever you are looking for.
There’s also great nightlife for older kids.
And don’t forget the “Big Joe Jersey Talent Show” every Sunday night at 7 p.m. until August 28. You can vote for your favorite right here.
