Stop the WOKE trial; college bills; Boys and girls clubs; National Garden Month

A group of plaintiffs from across the state filed a federal trial against the Stop WOKE law.

They allege the law, which restricts race-related teaching in schools and businesses, violates their First and Fourteenth Amendment rights. They filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida against Governor Ron DeSantis, Attorney General Ashley Moody and others, challenging the constitutionality of HB7.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida will be able to expand its offer in the region thanks to an incredible Donation of $6.8 million he received from philanthropist and author MacKenzie Scott. The local organization is one of more than 60 Boys and Girls Clubs across the country that have received part of a $281 million donation from him.
