Southern Illinois Boys and Girls Club Summer Programs – Gardening for Mind, Body and Soul

Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois All-Day Summer Program Begins June 6^e until August 5^e. This summer’s program will focus on gardening, healthy habits and how to explore the natural world. There are 9 weeks of camp. We have programming available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our morning project-based learning program – Summer Brain Gain is from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and lunch is included. The fee for the morning programs is $40.00 per week. We still have slots available for the morning program – contact us now if you wish to enroll your child. Morning programs include math, reading and science which are project-based and active learning. Morning programs are limited to youth entering 1^st grade up to young people entering 8^e to note.

Registration is available at the Carbondale location: 250 N. Springer Street and the Marion location: 2706 W. Main Street.

The afternoon program is from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., lunch and a snack are included. The afternoon program will include mindfulness, healthy habits, self-exploration in the arts, team building, STEM and recreational rotations. Membership of the morning and afternoon programs is required. Membership fee is $20.00 for youth ages 5-13 (K-8^e year) and $10.00 for high school youth per year. Membership is the only fee for the afternoon program. Below is a list of summer programs.

• July 25^e – July 29^e: Let’s cook : Assemble the pieces
• August 1^st – 5 August^e: Let’s share our generosity : Let’s make our dreams come true
