The 80-acre park is the perfect place to get out and enjoy the green spaces with other members of the community.
The event will coincide with the annual Livingston County Safety and Wellness Fair, hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County and Genesee Valley Health Partnership, at the county’s adjacent Murray Hill campus.
Organizers encourage Family Fest visitors to attend both events for a full day of family fun with Livingston County.
The park has undergone a series of improvements over the past few years. A pollinator garden is among the most recent improvements to the park.
Additional work has included the construction of two new pavilions nestled in the trees overlooking the ponds and new bridges, and the installation of a boardwalk connecting two trails in the park.
In 2019, several projects were completed in the park, including a new playground, basketball court, softball/kickball court, water fountain in the main pond, and several bridges connecting the trail network. Livingston County Central Services has also cleared 10 walking trails of varying lengths and difficulty that connect to the Genesee Valley Greenway and Finger Lakes trail systems around the park.
The park is open to the public from May to September. Accommodations are available for up to 300 people in four covered pavilions with picnic tables, charcoal grills, electricity and water.
