Naomi Campbell is a proud mom as her daughter takes her first steps

There are a handful of moments in that first year of parenthood that snap you out of your sleep-deprived state and reveal the miraculous nature of your child’s existence: first smile, first laugh, first steps.

Top model Naomi Campbell, 52, with a face recognized around the world, has so far confided in her daughter, whose arrival she announced without prelude last May. But even mothers of ethereal beauty know the trials and triumphs of the first year, and the simultaneous swell of pride and separation that comes from watching the little being who holds your heart walk unaided.

It’s easy to see why the fashion legend couldn’t help but share such a moment with the world, because the photos are so perfect. Campbell posted two cute photos, showing her and her daughter holding hands and walking into the sunset on a leafy garden lawn. The little girl is wearing a colorful tracksuit and sneakers, a white bow adorning the back of her head. Her mother is the picture of laid-back grace in black leggings, a sweater and tennis shoes – her long, straight hair falling down her back, echoing the nearby willow branches.

“My love, my heartbeat First steps walking ❤️❤️ ❤️,” Campbell wrote alongside the photos.

Although she seems ageless, Campbell was 50 when she broke the news of her daughter’s arrival. Keeping her daughter’s birth details and name, private, Campbell said British vogue in February, “she was not adopted”.

“She’s the greatest blessing I can imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” Campbell said.

Even before she took her first steps, the baby appeared on her first magazine cover, gracing the issue of British vogue — in his mother’s arms, of course.

Speaking of the shoot, Campbell said of her daughter, “She loves the light. She is curious. She looked at everyone – she looks people straight in the eye and for a very long time. She took it all. »

Though she’s no longer a teenage girl rising to stardom, Campbell’s energy remains fervent whether it’s the track or the pursuit of a baby, which she explained she’s managing with the help of a nanny who is “an amazing woman”.

“I became a child again. I relive the nursery rhymes, play and discover how many great new toys there are in the world! And the dolls! Things I couldn’t even dream of.

When asked what surprised her most about motherhood, Campbell replied, “Everything I do, I do for her – that’s it.”
