A number of local and regional 4th of July weekend celebrations are planned in the coming days.

FRIDAY

Lincoln After Harvest Music Festival

A fundraiser for the Lincoln Art Center, the After Harvest Music Festival is scheduled from 7-10 p.m. Friday at the Lincoln Golf Course. The event will include live music, a potluck picnic and fireworks. Ticket at the door is $20, with children 12 and under $5, according to information on the Lincoln Art Center Facebook page.

Burgers, hot dogs and potlucks will be served during the picnic, which begins at 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a platter. Additionally, beer garden and bottled water will be available at the gazebo.

Mattson & Weaver are scheduled to perform at 7 p.m., with The Good Sam Club Band scheduled for 8 p.m.

SATURDAY

Waconda LakeFest and Fireworks

LakeFest is a Waconda Cultural Association fundraiser for state park projects. LakeFest 2022 is scheduled for Saturday at Glen Elder State Park on the north shore of Lake Waconda in Mitchell County.

Celebration in Galva

The Galva Firecracker 5K and Festival kicks off with the 5K run/walk. Registration is at 6:30 a.m. Saturday with the race starting at 7:30 a.m. at Lynn Baldwin Memorial Park, 100 Northview. The race day entry fee is $30, depending on the Firecracker 5K and Festival Facebook page.

Other activities during the celebration include a softball tournament, water slide, corn hole tournament and food, with a free fireworks display around 9:30 p.m.

Clay Center Celebration

The Clay Center’s Independence Day celebration is scheduled for Sunday at the Clay County Fairgrounds.

Herington Independence Day Celebration

SkyFire at Salina
