Carved is a family event for all ages. For three weeks in October, thousands of carved pumpkins will line the camellia forest. This year’s event will be bigger and better than before, with all kinds of new activities and activations. In addition to pumpkins, the ever-popular Pumpkin House, Hay Maze, and holiday-themed food and drink will return. Guests can also enjoy phosphorescent face painting and UV “black light” experiences, pumpkin carving artists, and a special Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) installation at the amphitheater. Carved is a rain or shine event. Dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if needed. Each person, even under the age of 2, needs a timed entry ticket. The Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena will host its annual Black Tie & Burgers fundraising event in Centennial Plaza across from Pasadena City Hall. The evening will be a fun, in-person event to celebrate the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, the children it serves, as well as friends and supporters. Along with the entertainment, attendees will feast on Burger meals, host live and online silent auctions, draw winners, and provide opportunities to support the Club and the children it serves. On this special evening, B&GC plans to raise enough money for life-changing programs for children and teens in the greater Pasadena community. The Boys and Girls Club deeply appreciates everyone who continues to support this event year after year, and those of you who are considering attending for the first time. The club is needed now more than ever, as the club helps children reclaim school ground lost during school closures, recharge with their favorite physical activities, and rebuild their academic and career paths toward great futures.
