Fall is almost upon us and the weather in Cincinnati looks incredibly comfortable this weekend – practically perfect for doing something outdoors.
And to encourage locals to get outside, the 19th annual Great Outdoor Weekend features more than 100 free activities in parks, rivers, trails and more.
Presented by the Regional Alliance for Sustainability green umbrella and partner organisations, adults and children can expect to take part in events ranging from outdoor concerts to free paddle boat hire at Winton Woods Harbor and a rabbit encounter at Gorman Heritage Farm to a hike bird watching at William Harbin Park.
The weekend will kick off on September 23 with a “Bluff Campfire” hosted by Cincinnati Parks where everyone is invited to join in and enjoy the storytelling at Austin E. Knowlton’s campfire area. at the California Woods Nature Preserve.
