Free meals and activities are again offered to eligible children in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees during the summer holidays.
There are over 19,000 places available for a range of sessions including sports, dancing, cooking and gardening.
Each day includes a free nutritious meal for each participating child.
All thanks to the Holidays Are Fun (HAF) scheme, run by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council in partnership with Catalyst and the Department of Education.
The activity sessions take place from Monday July 25 to Friday September 2 for children aged 5 to 16.
And HAF reservations, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis, opened today (July 6).
Activities are available for families receiving benefit-linked free school meals, receiving Universal Credit, or experiencing financial hardship.
Councilor Lisa Evans, Cabinet Member of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council for Children and Young People, said: “With the cost of living rising, it is more important than ever to be able to step in to helping families with free meals and activities.
“We know how important it is for children to try new things and learn new skills, as well as having a healthy meal every day.
“There is something for all interests and abilities and if you think your child might be eligible, I urge you to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
“We hope that as many children as possible will sign up to participate! »
