LA CROSSE (WKBT) – Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse teamed up with La Crosse Police for a day of service on Friday.

Together they worked at the Kane Street Community Garden pulling weeds and collecting litter in and around the garden.

“It’s a really fun thing to do with kids,” Agent Jo said. “I love everything I can do with the children because I miss them since the school year. So it allows us to stay in touch with the children.

School Resource Officers are spending time with the children because they don’t see them as often during the summer, Officer Jo said.
