Aisha Jumwa arrives at the Prado

The former MP for Malindi showed up at the President’s office ahead of her inauguration at State House Nairobi.

Footage captured at the office showed her wearing a white blazer, black pants and red shoes.

Jumwa wore a black top with red and white speckles, completing the look with a gold necklace, watch and bracelet.

Kenyans congratulated her after her inauguration, with one person writing that:

“Wow! You never know what tomorrow has in store for you! Never! Aisha took a chance and trusted her instincts! It’s over now!”

However, what caught the most attention was the vehicle used by Jumwa.

She was transported in a silver Toyota Prado, flying the Kenyan flag on the front.

The SUV, preferred by many politicians for its sturdiness and reliability, costs more than KShs 6 million, depending on the year of manufacture and the finish.

Jumwa’s Prado appeared to be the TX, which is the base model.

The Prado was first introduced in 1990 and was designed to be practical. The name Prado is derived from Prados, which means pastures.

The next version of the Prado after the TX is the TXL which has better fuel economy, more leg room and better safety features,

Wetang’ula, Kingi’s Mercedes Benz

Politicians ride in style, as was the case during Mashujaa Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens.

Moses Wetang’ula, the Speaker of the National Assembly and his Senate counterpart Amason Kingi arrived in style in Mercedes Benz cars.

Both vehicles spotted personalized number plates indicating their positions in government and displayed the Kenyan flag.

While Wetang’ula’s vehicle was a newer model, Kingi drove in an S-Class, known for its luxury and comfort.
