Mid-July has arrived and brought with it concerts and other fun outdoor activities.

Here’s a look at the fun to be had this weekend in Wichita.

James Taylor returns

8 p.m. Saturday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

Music star James Taylor has stopped by Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena a few times over the years, and the 74-year-old singer will return this weekend. Taylor, known for hits like “Carolina in My Mind” and “You’ve Got a Friend,” will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the arena with his All Star Band. Tickets are still available and cost $63.50, $83.50 and $123.50 at www.selectaseat.comby phone at 316-755-7328 and in person at the Select-A-Seat box office inside the Intrust Bank Arena.

Tunes + Tall Grass

6:30-10 p.m. Friday, Wichita Art Museum, 1400 Museum Blvd.

The Wichita Art Museum’s annual Tunes + Tallgrass event returns on Friday and will include an outdoor screening of “The Wizard of Oz,” costume contests for folks and their dogs, food trucks, a cash bar, and music Live from Sass Monkey. The event, a partnership between the museum, Tallgrass Film Festival and Music Theater Wichita, runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the museum’s Paula and Barry Downing Amphitheater in the WAM Art Garden. Free entry.

KEYN Summer Concert Series Returns

Friday through August 12, Hartman Arena Parking Lot, 8151 N. Hartman Arena Drive, Park City

KEYN’s annual free outdoor summer concert series returns this week and will once again take place in the Hartman Arena parking lot. The concerts, featuring well-known local and regional artists, will take place every Friday until August 12. Each week will feature a different band and different food trucks and drinks for purchase. Doors open at 6 p.m. and concerts are held from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each week. The series begins Friday with a performance by King Midas. The Artichoke food truck will be present alongside Face Stuffers, Cheesepanzee, Devour and the Southeast Carryout food truck. For the full show schedule, visit hartmanarena.com

Big & Rich went to the casino

7:30 p.m. Friday, Kansas Star Casino, 777 Kansas Star Drive, Mulvane

Country duo Big & Rich will perform at the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane on Friday. The act, known for their big hit “Save A Horse (Ride a Cowboy),” will begin their show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 to $120 and on sale at ticketmaster.com.

Aaron Lewis and the Stateliners

8 p.m. Saturday, The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg

Former Staind vocalist Aaron Lewis will return to Wichita to perform at The Cotillion on Saturday with his band The Stateliners. The country show will start at 8 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $49.50 to $59.50 at thecotillon.com. Singer Tim Montana will open the show.
